Additionally, Congress recently enacted many major tax provisions within The Big Beautiful Bill which impacts both income and estate planning.

To answer these questions, and more, First National Bank Colorado is pleased to present a three-part series where local estate attorney Amanda V. Weisseg, Esq. (founding principal of The Vinton Law Firm, P.C.) and Steven S. Marken, Esq. (CEO of Trustee Services Group) will share their insights and experience with our clients to properly plan for themselves and their family.
Founder & CEO, Trustee Services Group
Steve is the founder and CEO of Trustee Services Group, an attorney owned and operated professional fiduciary services company with specialized focus on the delivery of Estate Settlement and “open architecture” Trustee services.
Trustee Services Group’s “open architecture” approach embraces the involvement of the family’s chosen team of legal, tax and financial professionals, and thus allows for a customized, “best in class” wealth transfer solution. Together with Trustee Services Group, the client’s chosen professional advisory team remains in place to collaboratively serve the family through the generations.
With offices in Colorado Springs, Denver, Fort Collins and Cheyenne Wyoming, TSG’s mission and is to help families navigate the unique complexities of generational wealth while protecting and enriching their multi-generational heritage.
Prior to founding Trustee Services Group in 2009, Steve was a practicing attorney, served as an advanced markets consultant to financial advisors throughout the Country with Pacific Life and ING, and had the privilege to work intimately with countless families and their professional advisory teams in the generational wealth context through his professional involvement with Community Foundations headquartered in southern California and Atlanta, Georgia.
Steve is a licensed attorney and is recognized by the American Institute of Philanthropic Studies as a Certified Specialist in Charitable Tax Planning.

Amanda V. Weisseg (née Vinton) is an attorney licensed to practice in both Colorado and Texas (inactive status in Texas). She received her Juris Doctor from Baylor Law School in 2007 and has a BA in Psychology and a BS in Criminal Justice from Northern Arizona University.
Amanda was born in Utah, grew up in Arizona, spent many childhood summers in Montana, attended law school in Texas, and moved to Colorado right after law school, so she is truly a woman of the West.
Her areas of practice are limited to estate planning, trust and estate administration and Pre- and Post-Nuptial Agreements. She has been practicing law for over 16 years and founded The Vinton Law Firm, P.C. in 2011. She is a member of Wealth Counsel, an active community of over 3,600 estate planning and wealth management professionals.
Amanda is also a member of the Colorado State Bar Association, the El Paso County Bar Association and the Probate Section of the El Paso County Bar Association. She has served as a Board Member for the Colorado Springs Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and is a graduate of their Leadership in Life Institute (LILI). She has also been a frequent presenter, teaching Continuing Legal Education (CLE), with NBI.
When not working, Amanda volunteers with CASA of the Pikes Peak Region and in the children’s ministry at her church. She is also a member of the advisory team for Alternativ, a local non-profit that partners with communities to deliver high-impact business training and mentorship, equipping individuals to start small businesses and break the cycle of poverty. In 2014, she traveled to Costa Rica with Alternativ to provide entrepreneurship training to women in the San Jose area. Her husband, Brian, traveled with Alternativ to Haiti in 2018, to El Salvador in 2022, and to Uganda in 2023.
Amanda and Brian live just north of the Black Forest with their three black cats. Amanda enjoys hiking, reading, and travel.

Quentin has been with First National Bank Colorado since 2005. He’s in charge of our Asset/Liability Management (ALM), manages the investment portfolio and serves as market President. He is on our Bank and Holding Company board of directors and is a member of our Loan Committee. Quentin graduated from the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado in 2002 and the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, with honors, in 2008. He serves as treasurer of the Independent Bankers of America (ICBA) and is a member of their executive committee. Quentin is also an active member, and former chairman, of the Alumni Advisory Board Member at the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado and a prior school board member at Monument Academy. Quentin is an active member of his church, volunteering with the youth group and finance team. Quentin also serves as a board member on the Palmer Lake Outdoor Classic.
